| So we were on our way back to Eugene for school after springbreak. My dad drove my brother, me, as well as two of my friends. We were just getting off the highway arriving in Corvallis when this BEAVER girl driving a 4-runner ran a red light. She supposedly was talking on the cell phone while she was driving and didn't remember if the light was green/red. Same thing , right? =/. What resulted from her idiotic driving skills was a severe hit to the front portion of the left side of the car and a dent on the back because our car swerved (40 mph 4-runner hitting a camry...kind of a bad combination) and we almost went off the railing which would have dropped us 15-20 feet below.
We were all in complete shock but I am grateful that we're all okay. It definitely could have been worse...What if the car instead hit either my dad's door or even mine? I guess I shouldn't be thinking about the what if's and just be glad that we're all alive. My head hit the window during the impact but it doesn't hurt now. It's just sensitive to the touch but my neck is still feeling a little stiff. Shawna's lower back is hurting and Misty can't move her neck at all. arghhh...all this insurance business is going to be bothering us for awhile. The girl ended up getting a ticket and her insurance will be reimbursing my dad's insurance .....eventually. Beavers...yah..not so much of a fan of them. | | |
| My brain is also quite fried from finals/cmat weekend. Overall it was a really fun roadtrip once again. All the beginners did REALLY REALLY REALLY awesome. I'm really proud of them and all the intermediates were not so bad themselves = ). I really need to start training really hard again. At least I know what I need to work on...which is a lot haha. The afterparty was so fun! I wasn't in alot of pictures cause I couldn't keep still and was roaming everywhere haha. To keep things short... FAST FOOD Losing our voices cheering on our teammates watching all the amazing competititors do their thing. WOW..especially the little cute kiddies. They just NEVER run out of energy... little van games- celebrity name game, A-Z road game ( GO GIRLS), nubbins...and missing legs Sarah Really drunk...and...also everyone else going to the rest stop/gas station EVERY hour the boys mooning the other van...but not sure if they saw + MORE | | |
| I honestly need to change a lot of things this year starting with myself. I always talked about how annoying it was when people were being ignorant. I'm not an uncultured person at all but I've been asked questions last year that I felt I should have known myself. Time for me to become a little less ignorant this year... | | |
| SOoooooo....I'm up pretty late. I didn't call in early enough before our trip to get some Conan tickets so all of us have to wake up wayyyy early to get a standby ticket at the NBC studios. They start giving out about 75 standby tickets at 9 in the morning so we're planning to catch the bus to the ferry and ride the train to the city at 5 in the morning. Everyone's asleep except me :(. I TRIED sleeping along with them at 10 but all this anxiousness and stressing over not getting the ticket is keeping me pretty wide awake. AHHHHH I MUST GET THE TICKETS! My trip will be fulfilled if I get to watch Conan. I probably should try to get 2 hrs of sleep at least because we've got alot on our to-do list tomorrow. Standing in line in the freezing cold for hours, SOHO, Chinatown (again haha), Brooklyn, hopefully Conan show, Little Italy (AGAIN) for the awesome bakeries, and then to China Club to dance the night away!! woooo I can't believe tomorrow's our last day. *sighs* goodnight everyone and I hope everyone's having a good break | | |
| I'm thankful for the friends that I have. I want to say that my friends are AWESOME. Thanks for the midnight surprise. I was wondering why people just kept on coming over hahah. I felt very loved and I want to let you guys know that I love you too. BEST BIRTHDAY EVER :) | | |
